Unpredictable weather and hectic days – but overall, this vintage looks promising!
July brought us a sudden heatwave that lingered all month: minimal rain, abundant sunshine, and thankfully, cool nights to secure the vintage. If grape growing were an Olympic sport, it would be like a marathon.
This is the time of year when winemakers checks on their grapes daily. It is now clear: we are expecting an early harvest, starting in mid-August, with some potentially finishing within a month!
We are excited to share something new: we want to bring you closer to our passionate winemakers, their beautiful homes, and their treasured vineyards. So, we asked them to switch roles for a day and become our models! In July, we visited Tamás Kis (Somlói Vándor) and Tamás Kovács (St. Donat). The results will be published soon.
