Pinot Noir from Küszöb Orra, grown on red sandstone soil at 260 meters above sea level. Pale ruby appearance with light purple highlights. Moderately intense nose with ripe red berries. Fresh red cherry, bruised strawberry, and kirch liquor, the fruit is ripe and sweet with a hint of resignation. Fruit-driven Pinot with iodine notes in the background. On the palate, the wine displays more crunchy red fruits with raspberry and cherry pith. Velvety integrated tannin with crisp acidity and balanced alcohol leading to a moderate length. Winemaking
One week on skins in an automatic red wine fermentation tank, followed by gentle pressing. Malolactic fermentation and aging in stainless steel tanks. Filtered and bottled in early July 2024.
Vintage
Overall, it was a warm but notably rainy year, requiring significant attention to vineyard management. Spring started off promisingly with early budbreak, followed by relatively early flowering. However, summer saw increased rainfall. As a result, harvest was delayed, beginning only in mid-September with Pinot Noir for sparkling wine, while the last-picked Riesling was brought into the cellar in early October.
