Filep

Founded in 2013 as a father-and-son enterprise, this winery is located in Tállya, within the prestigious Tokaj Wine Region. They cultivate two hectares of vineyards in Tállya and Rátka, in plots once celebrated by Bél Mátyás in the Hegyaljai Album as among the finest. Committed to sustainable farming and environmental preservation, they work closely with nature to produce exceptional wines.

Harvesting perfectly ripened, old-vine grapes, they use traditional Kossuth presses for processing. Fermentation and aging take place in barrels, ensuring the wines benefit from oak without displaying overtly new or aged barrel characteristics. By producing small batches of only a few hundred bottles, they aim to showcase the true essence of Tokaj’s rich heritage.

Their focus is on creating dry white wines that highlight the region’s unparalleled soil diversity. These wines are free of residual sugar, full-bodied yet balanced, with moderate alcohol levels and exceptional acidity, delivering freshness and minerality that reflect the unique terroir of Tokaj.
