Villa Sandahl Winery has been producing exceptional wines since 2004, located high up on the volcanic hill of Badacsony, on the northern shore of Lake Balaton. The decision to turn to Hungary stemmed from the opportunity to acquire world-class vineyards at affordable prices, accessible to passionate wine lovers.
From the beginning, they set their sights on creating nothing less than outstanding wines, with grapes sourced from the excellent volcanic and mineral-rich vineyards in Badacsony. While they primarily focus on Rhine Riesling, their wines are remarkably diverse from vintage to vintage. This variety arises not only from the unique juice fractions and the different soils of each vineyard but also from the varying degrees of freshness and bottle aging. Each bottle tells a story of the terroir and the meticulous care that goes into crafting their wines.
